Compton Juvenile Court is located at 200 W. Compton Blvd, Compton, California 90220. Parking is $4.00 if you want to park in the courthouse parking. Lines to the courthouse are very long and it is recommend that you give yourself plenty of time to get to court on time. The Compton Juvenile Court is located on the 12th Floor of the Compton Courthouse. The court has two bench officers that handle delinquency matters. They are:

Compton Juvenile Court Judge Charles R. Scarlett Dept 260

Judge Scarlett graduated from Howard University in Washington D.C. in 1949 with his Bachelor of Arts Degree. He graduated from Washington University Law School where he graduated with his L.L.B. degree in 1951. Judge Scarlett previously worked for a well known civil litigation defense firm Earl C. Brody, which became Brody, Scarlett & Brody, which became Scarlett & Roberson, which today is known as Ivy & McNeil. He worked there from 1953 thru 1980. He was appointed Judge on March 11, 1980 by Governor Jerry Brown Jr. He was in Greensboro North Carolina on April 24, 1924. He is a registered democrat. He previously served in the United States Marines, World War II, (South Pacific). His professional affiliations include the California Coalition of Black Attorneys, Langston Law Club, Los angles Trial Lawyers Association, Los Angeles County Bar Associaiton Board of Directors, National Bar Association, American Bar Association, California Judges Associaiton. Judge Scarlett is the grandson of a slave and grew up in Greensboro, N.C., and attended segregateed schools. Judge Scarlett is the father of four children and the grandfather of three. His previous juvenile court assignments included Eastlake Juvenile Court, Inglewood Juvenile Court, and Kenyon Juvenile Court in South Central Los Angeles.

Judge Tamara Hall, Department 261

Judge Hall was appointed by Govenror Arnold Schwarzenegger in July 2010. Judge Hall earned her Bachelors Degree from USC and her law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco. During law school, she won the American jurisprudence Award for Trial Advocacy. She served as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern Disrict of California. From 1999 to 2010, she worked as a Los Angeles County Deputy District attorney where she recently worked in the Hardcore Gang Unit.

Prior to working in the Hardcore Gang Unit, Hall worked in the Auto Insurance Fraud Unit. Among her notable cases she prosecuted was a 44 year old Swedish businessman who crashed a $1 million red Ferari Enzo that split in half in Malibu. The defendant in that case Bo Stefan Ericksson was sentenced to three years in state prison for embezzlement and felon in possession of a gun. The defendant reportedly drove his car in excess of 160 mph and was under the influence of alcohol when he totaled the $1 million dollar Ferari. The vehicle were leased by the defendant from a British financial institution. The defendant had previously served a five year prison sentence in Sweden in 1994. The defendants $5.2 million dollar home was seized and taken over by a court appointed receiver. The case received national attention due to the rarity of the Ferrari Enzo that was involved in the case.

She was recognized by the DA's office in 2004. Since 2008, she has served as an adjunct professor at Southwestern Law School teaching courses in Trial Advocacy and SCALE programs. She is 42 years of age in 2013. She is a registered Democrat.
