Hon. Akemi Arakaki, Superior Court Judge, Alfred J. McCourtney Juvenile Justice Center, Lancaster Juvenile Court Judge Arakaki is a former deputy public defender for the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office where she worked various assignment including the Comtpon Juvenile Court. She attended law school at Loyola Law School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College. Arakaki is a Democrat. She was appointed by Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2010 at the age of 37. She worked for 11 years as a deputy public defender. Prior to that she worked at the Law Offices of Steven Escovar.

Referee Kesler was appointed referee in 2001 for the Los Angeles County Superior Court, from 1988 to 2001 she was a sole practitioner, Lancaster, From 1987 to 1988 she was a partner with the law firm of , Johnson & Kesler, Lancaster. She attended San Fernando Valley College of Law where she graduated in 1987. She is 60 years of age in 2013.
Hon. Pamala Matsumoto, Referee Alfred J. McCourtney Juvenile Justice Center, Lancaster Juvenile Court Referee Matsumoto attended the University of California, Berkeley and Boston College Law School and was admitted to the state bar of California in 1988.
Hon. Marilyn M. Mordetskey, Alfred J. Mc Courtney Juvenile Justice Center Dept 426, Lancaster Juvenile Court Referee Mordetskey attended Cal State University, Northridge with a Bachelors Degree in Music. She graduated from La Verne College of Law in the San Fernando Valley. She was admitted to the bar in 1994. In 1997, she served on a court appointed panel to represent parents in dependency cases out ofthe Childrens Court i Monretery Park. She has more than 10 years of experience representing parents and children in dependency cases. She also served a brief stint as an attorney on the Caloifornia Appellate Project, handling appeals before the Court of Appeals. She previously served as president of the Juvenile Bar Association from 2005 to 2007. On February 2009, she was appointed referee of the Los Angeles Superior Court. She is 52 years of age in 2013.
Judge Benny Osorio, Alfred J. McCourtney Juvenile Justice Center Dept 285, Lancaster Juvenile Court Judge Benny C. Osorio, 42, of Castaic, has served as deputy district attorney with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office since 1995. Previously, he was a sole practitioner from 1994 to 1995. Judge Osorio earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University. He was appointed by the governor to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Irving S. Feffer. Judge Osorio is a Republican.
